Moderate allergic-like reaction

Recognize

• Diffuse urticaria / pruritus
• Diffuse erythema with stable vital signs
• Facial edema without dyspnea
• Throat tightness or hoarseness without dyspnea
• Wheezing / bronchospasm with mild or no hypoxia

Act — tap each step

1. 1Preserve IV access; monitor vitals + pulse oximetry
2. 2Oxygen by mask 6–10 L/min
3. 3If bronchospasm: Albuterol MDI 2 puffs (90 mcg/puff) ×3, may repeat
4. 4If laryngeal edema/throat tightness: IM/IV epinephrine — see severe pathway
5. 5Diphenhydramine 25–50 mg IV/IM/PO
